Located 20 km from Barcelona, the Segui family has been cultivating this land since 1405 …(just that!) Vinyes Singulars is a 120 hectare polyculture farm. 20 hectares are devoted to wine, the rest is to produce oil, honey, vegetables, cereals, eggs… No time to get bored… And of course everything is certified organic!

It was in 2012 that Ignasi Segui took over the family vineyard. He only takes care of the vines and produces quality wine, and that’s already a lot… Composed of local grape varieties (Macabeu, Xarel lo, Parelleda, Malvasia de stiges…), the vines are old an average of sixty years. A beautiful wine heritage that he do his best to pamper.
In order to highlight his terroir (Vinyes Singulars means “singular vineyard”), Ignasi will pay particular attention to soil biodiversity. But he will also ban all inputs to the cellar (bye bye sulphites!). The perfect combo to produce good wines!
Each year the Vinyes Singulars estate produces around thirty different cuvées. Most are mono-varietal in order to best express their specificities (soils and aromatics). Those who make their wines even more interesting to taste (especially if you don’t know too much about Catalan wine)!
