At the time an electromechanic, Thierry first learned the secrets of working with terraced vines (typical of this region) and of winemaking without make-up at Domaine Robert Michel. Eager to have his own vineyard, over the years he acquired abandoned vineyards, bought or rented others. A tedious job, done entirely by hand, which required a lot of time, energy and courage to restore all these plots. Today, his back reminds him every day…

Installed on hardly 5 hectares, Thierry Allemand takes care of his vines. They are pampered, a team of 22 persons works regularly to realize the different works by hand. A limestone, granite and clay soil, a very good exposure to the sun, no weedkiller, a lot of attention, observation and work, very few sulfites (1g/hl), indigenous yeasts, common sense… are the recipe of his Syrah that, from now on, every wine lover wants to drink at least once in his life. The wines of the Domaine Thierry Allemand are of an elegance, a smoothness and a depth which put everybody of agreement, of the drinker without sulfites to the classic drinker. It is the mark of the great winemakers!
