In 1994, Jean-Louis Michelland took over the Domaine de La Réaltière. A 13-hectare vineyard located on clay-limestone soil, at an altitude of 450m, surrounded by olive trees, oaks and pines. Not far from Rians in Provence (in the appellation of Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence). A beautiful postcard…
From the beginning, the vines are conducted in organic farming. The son, Pierre Michelland took over the estate in 2001 and converted it to biodynamics ten years later, in order to go further in the balance between man and the different elements.
The harvest is done by hand, the grapes are strictly sorted, then vinified with indigenous yeast and without inputs. The particularity of the La Réaltière Estate is to offer, despite generous sunshine, aperitif wines of great freshness. And also structured wines, of gastronomy, with a beautiful depth but still digestible which is really the touch of Pierre!
