The tasting

Les Pièces Longues by Fabien Jouves (Mas del Périé) is a generous wine with aromas of quince, honey, exotic fruits, citrus fruits and spices. It’s complex. There is volume, a nice roundness and fat, opening the appetite. At the end of the mouth, minerality and freshness avoid heaviness. A bottle which knows how to be rich without being opulent.

The only son of an old farmer family from Causse, Fabien Jouves studied oenology and trained in Bordeaux. In 2006, he took over the family estate (Mas Del Périé) located in Trespoux. Until then, the production was oriented towards the cooperative.

Falling in love with natural wines, he decides to make wines without artifice, fresh, fruity and elegant despite the hot climate of Cahors (French South-West).
